Moccasin Hot Springs

Perfect weather for a perfectly lovely hot springs visit. We spent several hours rotating between pools of varying degrees of heat (88°- 104°) It was lovely to float lazily in the barely warm pool and then bask like a couple old lizards on a lounge in the sun. This mineral spa has been around a long time so it has a nice old world feel with modern conveniences and cleanliness standards. Adults only and everyone kept their voices low and peaceful. My sweet Warren relaxed in the shade after we showered, while I took pictures to post.

  1. Oh that looks heavenly!! We wrote that down, when we stay in Custer next week we will go for a soak! Thanks for the info.

    1. My pleasure! It was very nice. They offer all kinds of spa treatments in addition. A trendy little restaurant is on the grounds also. There is some construction ongoing (after hours) to add a couple more hot pools but it did not take away from the ambiance.

    1. We didn’t even see everything while we were there! Wind Cave NP and The Wild Horse Sanctuary will wait for another visit. I’m putting a SD packet together for y’all. We are in Spearfish now. Simply wonderful.
