Roadside Chapels

WHITE LAKE, South Dakota Rest Stop. Sunday services are occasionally conducted for passersby at Wayside Chapel. Constructed by members of a normal-sized church in White Lake, the exterior is roughly 8 ft. x 10 ft., with three rows of pews and an altar. An identical chapel stands on the other side of I-90. Peaceful little place at a busy rest area. So many kind messages are left on the guest register for other travelers. We have stopped here 3 times on our way through SD.

A dreary day with a bright spot here
Getting a stretch of the legs
Serene little place
