127 lb Paddlefish

When we toured the National Fish Hatchery and Aquarium in Yankton SD last week, we saw a picture of the largest paddlefish caught in the state. Tonight, we were taking a walk at our new campground in Fort Thompson, at Big Bend Dam, when a nice couple invited us to sit and chat. They are also planning to become full time RV travelers next year. We had a very relaxing and fun visit with Louis and Sandra. During the conversation, talk turned to fishing, Louis showed us a picture of his brother, Bill, who caught that state record Paddlefish. What a small world! It’s such a pleasure to meet interesting and enthusiastic people as we travel. We don’t lack for new folks to meet and new friends to make as we enjoy this lifestyle. I have included a link to an article featuring that monster fish.
