Cumberland Mountain State Park

Strolling around Byrd Lake trail at Cumberland Mountain State Park, Crossville TN. This park still has many beautiful buildings and structures built in the 1930’s by the CCC. We love that they are still in use nearly 100 years later. It was an interesting bit of history that Sargent Alvin York, the WWI hero, was the CCC construction manager for the Homestead Park which later became a state park. What a pleasant way to spend the afternoon. Watch the short video link for the history of this park.
