Hot Dish!

A charming little song about Hot Dish!

We love trying out regional foods as we travel. What we, in the South, call a casserole, Minnesota natives call Hot Dish. However, it MUST have a single layer of Tater Tots to be authentic. In the link below, I’m sharing a recipe that you can adapt to suit your dietary likes. You can find lots of hot dish recipes online from Southwestern to Tuna to Italian. Most have some kind of meat but that can be left out or use a plant based substitute. Have fun!

  1. Oh my goodness! I have wanted to bake a tater tot casserole for ages! My teacher assistant in Germany was an Iowan and it’s evidently a favorite there too. She gave me a recipe that I have yet to use. I think it’s time. 🙂
