Keweenaw National Historic Park, Calumet

We gained more understanding of the importance of copper mining on the peninsula when we toured the visitor center. It is housed in The Union Building built by Freemasons and Odd Fellows fraternal organizations. Many interesting displays featuring the immigrant population who comprised the population of this important city.
