Meeting The Mayor ๐Ÿ—๏ธ

After enjoying a very tasty veggie quesadilla at El Jalisco in Eufaula, we decided to take a walk about town to see the numerous statues honoring various notables. The first one was just across the street from the restaurant. It honors Leroy Brown, a famous bass caught by Tom Mann. See the links below the pictures for the full stories. As we approached the statue, a couple men were chatting while standing at the fish. They could see that we wanted a picture so the obligingly moved aside. We started talking with one of the men who turned out to be Eufaula’s Mayor Jack Tibbs Jr. After a fun and interesting visit, he made sure we knew where all the sites were to see. Ya never know who your tour guide will be ๐Ÿ˜Ž

  1. Wow, so cool to run into the Mayor. Best tour guide in town. Did he tell you about the history of the turn and the statues?
